The KPJ series cable-reel-powered rail-mounted electric flat cars utilize a 380V power supply via a cable. The cable reel is located underneath the flat car and directly controls the motor's start, stop, forward movement, reverse movement, and speed regulation via an AC control system. The flat car's operating system utilizes a low-voltage 36V power supply. The flat car's platform supports the installation of hydraulic or mechanical lifting systems, enabling automated remote control.

This series of flat cars is suitable for use in harsh environments, including high and low temperatures, and explosion-proof environments.

This series of electric flat cars utilizes a box-beam structure, offering strong load-bearing capacity, stable deformation, simple construction, low cost, and minimal track laying requirements. It is a common rail-mounted flat car for workshop overpasses. Unlike the KPX series flat cars, it is not subject to service life restrictions, and unlike the KPD series flat cars, it requires less stringent track laying requirements. This series of flat cars is suitable for any load capacity and high-frequency use. For travel distances exceeding 50 meters, a cable guide is required to assist with cable laying and reeling. Travel distances up to 200 meters are possible.
