The KPDZ low-voltage rail-powered electric flat cars utilize a track busbar as their power source. A ground-based step-down transformer steps down the 380V AC power supply to a two-phase 36V AC. This voltage is then fed through the track into the onboard electrical box, where it is rectified to 36V DC by an onboard rectifier. A DC control system then controls the DC motor, enabling the flat cars to start, stop, move forward, move backward, and adjust speed. This series of electric flat cars can be used on S-shaped and curved tracks, as well as in high-temperature environments. The flat car deck allows for the installation of hydraulic or mechanical lifting systems, enabling automated remote control.

This series of electric flat cars utilizes a box-beam structure, offering advantages such as strong load capacity, no deformation, smooth start-up, high starting torque, minimal impact on the reducer, low voltage, long service life, and unlimited operating distance. Compared to the KPX battery-powered electric flat cars, this series avoids the drawbacks of battery maintenance and charging, but requires higher track requirements (insulated track). It is suitable for medium- and long-distance transport with low loads, high usage frequency, and high-distance travel. For longer travel distances, multiple transformers are required.
